Summer 2011
20 AugWhile we have been away from Stephens, the ladies of KD have been very busy. Several of our members did their internships, while others embarked on adventures around the word.
Katie Hembree: Senior, spend the summer in NYC working on a PR internship at ABC Carpet & Home. While there, her duties included looking through magazines for press, puling products to loan, helping with events and assisting the special events coordinator.
Jackie Hyman: Senior also spend the summer in New York doing her internship at Stylecaster.com. Heres a link to one of the stories she worked on while there: http://www.stylecaster.com/trends/190/island-inspired
Ashley Kelly: Senior, spent the summer on the West Coast in California working on her intership at Fables By Barrie. Her favorite part when when her and a couple of the other interns were asked to model for the morning news in San Diego.
Myranda Hausheer: Senior, stayed in Madison, Wisconsin doing her intership at Land’s End. Due to all her hard work, she won a $1,000 scholarship.
Amanda Wuest: Junior, traveled to Honduras for a mission trip.
Beth Frazier: Junior spent 8 weeks attending the London College of Fashion. She took classes in styling, forecasting, merchandising and product development. She was also able to test out her French skills during a week cultural excursion as part of the program.
We are all looking forward to coming home to Stephens this Fall and living on our new floor in Prunty.

Spring Formal 2011
13 MayFormal was an exciting way to end the semester. We all had so much fun on top of the Missouri Theater dancing with each other! What a wonderful semster and year this has been. A big thanks to Megan Browning our social chair for planning this amazing event!

Friends Don’t Bully
13 MayHelping to show younger girls the importance of respect for theirselves and others is an important goal both National Kappa Delta and the Zeta Upsilon Chpater strive to accomplish. We put on the “Friends Dont Bully” event with out Girl Scout troop to help them express times they have been bullied and ways to stop bullying.
